Find answers to common questions about Travel Canvas.
Is TravelCanvas still in beta? ▾
Yes — TravelCanvas is currently in beta. Core itinerary features are ready to use, and we are actively building more. Things may change quickly, and your feedback helps shape the product.
How do I create an itinerary? ▾
Itineraries are created by travel managers in the manager app: go to your dashboard, click "New Itinerary", add trip details, then add flights, hotels, and activities. If you are a traveler, your travel manager builds the itinerary and shares it with you.
What do the itinerary statuses mean? ▾
A trip moves through five states. Draft is private to the person building it. Proposed means it has been shared with the travel party to review — publishing a draft is what sends it there. Confirmed means the plan is agreed and booked. In Progress and Completed are set for you: TravelCanvas moves a confirmed trip to In Progress once the trip has started, and to Completed once it has ended. You can also set any status by hand from the trip’s Edit form. A trip with no travel dates stays where you put it — there is nothing to trigger the automatic moves.
Can I share my itinerary with others? ▾
Yes! Visibility is a separate setting from status: set your itinerary to "shared" or "public" from the edit page, and anyone with the link can view it. Changing the status does not change who can see the trip.
Does TravelCanvas track my flights automatically? ▾
Not yet. Your itinerary keeps all your flight details (airline, times, seats, confirmation codes) in one place, and automatic real-time status tracking — delays, gate changes, cancellations — is under development and coming later in the beta.
Is my data secure? ▾
Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never share your personal information with third parties.
How much does TravelCanvas cost? ▾
TravelCanvas is free to use while in beta. Pricing plans for individual travelers and travel managers will be announced when we exit beta.
How do I get help or report a problem? ▾
Reach out through the contact page and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Bug reports are especially appreciated during the beta. Go to the contact page →
